(CNN) - Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg only took home $1 for his annual base salary last year.
But his company shelled out much more than that for his security and private planes.
A new public filing shows Facebook spent nearly $9 million last year keeping the boss safe and accommodating his travel.
That's a 50 percent increase over the amount spent the year before.
In total, Facebook has spent about $20 million on security and private planes for Zuckerberg since 2015.
