(CNN) - Actress Emma Stone may be a big name in Hollywood, but she says she still has to fight for equal pay.
Stone recently told Out magazine that male co-stars have taken pay cuts so she could have parity with them.
She emphasized that the actors voluntarily took the cuts, as they feel it's fair and right.
Her comments came in a discussion about her upcoming film, Battle of the Sexes, where she plays tennis legend and women's rights activist Billie Jean King.
The film chronicles the 1973 tennis match between King and Bobby Riggs, which King won.
The movie hits theaters in September.
