(CNN) - The prospect of President Trump withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord is having a chilling effect on Elon Musk.
The CEO of SpaceX and electric car maker Tesla said he'll leave the president's business advisory council if Trump decides to withdraw.
In a tweet, Musk said:
"Don't know which way Paris will go, but I've done all I can to advise directly to the president, through others in White House and via councils, that we remain."

He then added in response to a question:
"Will have no choice but to depart councils in that case."

Musk opposed Trump's election, but decided to stay on the White House advisory boards, until now.
