WEST HOMESTEAD, PA (WXPI/CNN) - A Pennsylvania man is accused of killing his 83-year-old landlord by pushing him down some stairs.
Police say 57-year-old Dominick Anicola got into a fight with his landlord Walter Smith early on Saturday.
Officers found Smith at the bottom of the stairs, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anicola admitted to punching smith and hitting him with an axe-handle.
According to police, Anicola had been fighting because Smith recently had him involuntarily committed to a psychiatric institution.
Police are charging Anicola with homicide. A preliminary hearing is set for April 4.
