(CNN) - Former President George H.W. Bush is now the longest-living president in U.S. history.
He earned that distinction on Saturday, when he turned 93 years and 166 days old.
The elder Bush beat the previous record, which was held by ex-president Gerald Ford, who was 93 years and 165 days old when he passed away in 2006.
Ford took the title from former President Ronald Reagan, who made it to 93 years and 120 days old.
Bush has recently been in the news for allegations that he groped multiple women during photo shoots.
Although most of the instances happened after he left the White House, one of them occurred during his presidency.
Bush apologized for his behavior through a spokesman.
