Dunkin' donuts said its done with artificial dyes, officially.
The company previously said it would ditch all artificial coloring before 2019.
However, as part of a new year's resolution, Dunkin' Donuts cut out the dyes from doughnuts at all of its U.S. locations.
By the end of 2018, Dunkin' Donuts said it expects to stop using fake coloring in everything on the menu including frozen beverages like the “coolatta”.
Officials said it's a way to provide cleaner ingredients into the company’s products.
Other food companies including Nestle and General Mills, have already removed artificial coloring.
Some studies done on animals showed that food dyes can cause allergic reactions, cancer and organ damage.
The Food and Drug Administration allow companies to use artificial food dyes if safety requirements are met.
