ALCESTER, SD (KSFY/CNN) - A car crashed into a group of people outside a South Dakota nursing home on Monday, killing two and injuring six others.
The female driver, 81, was among the injured. She pressed the gas instead of the brakes, according to a KSFY report that cited law enforcement.
Police say the other victims are a mix of residents and staff at the facility in Alcester.
The incident is still under investigation, but police say it appears to be an accident.
Helicopters and ambulances responded to the accident site to take people to receive medical care.
