NEW YORK (CNN) – Wall Street reached a new milestone Tuesday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average cracked the 26,000 barrier just after Tuesday’s opening bell, seven trading days after the Dow hit 25,000 for the first time.
The Dow has jumped about 42 percent – nearly 8,000 points – since President Donald Trump was elected in November 2016.
Experts cite several factors for the rally, including record corporate profits, strong economic growth worldwide and the recent passage of the Republican tax overhaul plan.
