(CNN) - A dog in New Hampshire ran away from its owners and into a painful tussle with a porcupine.
A kind stranger found the dog, named Dianne, with her with a face full of porcupine quills on Saturday and rushed her to a local vet.
Police said it took the vet more than four hours to remove the quills.
A Facebook post helped reunite her with her owners.
Danbury police said that the dog is on the mend.
