Dog chase on interstate backs up traffic

Posted

PHOENIX (KPHO/KTVK/CNN) – Two little dogs caused big traffic jams Wednesday.

Department of Public Safety workers and Phoenix firefighters stopped and diverted traffic on I-17 to catch two dogs running on the freeway.

The pups mostly stayed together while they were dodging cars and authorities.

One was caught on the freeway. The other ran into a mobile home park where he was captured.

Maricopa County Animal Care and Control now has the dogs. They’ll be looking for the owners or trying to find them homes.
