(CNN) - Disney raised its bid to buy 21st Century Fox to $71.3B on Wednesday.
The purchase would include Fox's movie studio along with their regional sports networks and cable channels.
Disney's new offer is the latest in a bidding war, topping the $65B bid Comcast made last week.
Initially, Disney offered $52.4B in December.
Fox says it will consider offers from other companies, including any new offer from Comcast.
A purchase of Fox would be the latest in a consolidation race among media companies struggling to survive amid competition from companies like Facebook and Netflix.
Last week, a judge approved AT&T's purchase of Time Warner.
