HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN (WCCO/CNN) - Delta Air Lines has a new way of checking your bag at the airport.
It debuted its self-service kiosks Monday at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
If the passenger has a passport, they can use a facial recognition machine to check in their bags.
It takes about 30 seconds for a face to be a verified or not.
"It's about speed. It's about reducing lines,' said Toby Broberg with airport customer service. "It's about allowing customers to be able to go through the travel ribbon, utilizing the technology that's out there."
Delta said any scanned facial images are immediately deleted after a match is confirmed and will not be sent to a central database.
Delta is also testing the kiosks in Atlanta and New York.
