(RNN) – A passenger on a stalled Amtrak train ordered pizza delivered to his car on Sunday to the delight of fellow riders.
With two pizzas in hand, veteran delivery man Jim Leary embraced the challenge. He went through a yard and jumped a ditch to get to the rocky rail bed, the Associated Press reported. He then walked along the side of the tracks until he located a hungry group of travelers, led by pizza buyer Mitchell Katz.

The train was traveling from New York to Washington, DC, when a mechanical problem halted the trip, NBC 4 reported. Dom’s Pizza in Newport, DE, landed the order after Katz said that passengers nearby became hungry during the unscheduled stop.
The train eventually arrived at its destination, around three hours late.
The tip justified Leary’s effort. He was rewarded with $32.
