NEW YORK (WPIX/CNN) - In a dashcam video, you can hear and see bicyclists bashing an Uber driving down a street in Chelsea on Saturday.
The group on bicyles damaged at least two vehicles.
The driver of one of the vehicles involved shared dashcam video of the confrontation, but asked that his identity be withheld.
"It's not safe having a whole bunch of guys riding all together in the city," the driver said.
He said leading up to this damage, he was cut off by one of the cyclists weaving through traffic. Then the guy wouldn't let him pass.
"So he calls more guys; so they started kicking my car," the driver said.
He was eventually able to speed away and pull up next to an officer, looking for help.
Around the same time, another driver, Tim, said he honked at the bicycle riders only to have his rear windshield smashed in.
"When I got out of the car, that's when the guy hit me in the back of the head," Tim said. "And when he hit me in the back of the head, I got a little woozy and slumped down."
Tim collected himself and tried to make a U-turn to chase the bikers down. That when, police sources say, he accidentally hit an officer, injuring the officer's right hand and right foot.
It's unclear if Tim will be charged with anything.
"Some way or another, it has to stop so nobody else gets hurt," Tim said.
