LEBANON, NH (WPTZ/CNN) - A New Hampshire couple just became training partners for life.
A candle lit aisle, freshly picked flowers, surrounded by close family and friends.
Instead of a venue with wedding bells, the couple chose one with kettle bells.
It was the ceremony Doug Brosseau and Amanda Caringi always wanted.
It was a special “workout of the day” at CrossFit RVC that came right before the “wedding of the day.”
"Kind of brought us together, made us stronger as a couple so there was no better place,” Brosseau said.
Push-ups and lifting, then running for time. Coaches said it's the perfect way to start such a big day.
Hours later, the gym had a complete transformation.
"We wanted it to be very CrossFit-themed so everything was like candles, kettlebells, barbells and then lots of lights," a CrossFit employee said.
Guests looked on from boxes as the couple's friend and trainer Lochrane Gary lead the ceremony.
"Amanda is a fireball and she's just a very spunky person. Doug is just super patient, easy going and laid back so they just complement each other so well," Gary said.
It wasn't the typical wedding, but for these two, the day couldn't have gone better.
Representing a bond that began in the weight room, and will continue forever more.
