(CNN) - Comedian Bill Cosby's image has been removed from a famous DC mural of prominent black figures.

The public voted him off in a nationwide online poll. So when Ben's Chili Bowl had the mural repainted Cosby didn't make the cut.

As did the original mural, the new one includes portraits of then-President Barack Obama, guitarist Chuck Brown and radio DJ Donnie Simpson.

Over the years, Cosby became a loyal customer to the restaurant.

Cosby, accused of sexual misconduct by more than 50 women, recently received a mistrial in a high-profile sexual assault trial.
