Tracy, California (KTXL/CNN) – A Northern California couple mixes a techno beat with technology to put on a spectacular Christmas light show.
With thousands of lights, funky music and plenty of fake snow, it's really bringing out the magic of the holiday and bringing crowds to Tracy, CA, about 60 miles east San Francisco.
“I think it's quite spectacular,” said 8-year-old Sorayma Paget, who especially enjoys the flashing Mickey Mouse ears. “They're sparkly. I really like them … I think it's really great."
It’s pretty intense, but display creator Andy Hansis wouldn’t have it any other way.
"A lot of it is we enjoy making people happy and this is our way of giving a Christmas present to the community," he said.
It seems to be working, because cars stream through the neighborhood every night.
Barbara Lawson, who created the display with Hansis, said she loves the sense of community it creates.
"We actually will come out and participate and enjoy meeting our neighbors with the light show going on."
The couple's theme this year is Christmas in Disneyland. It’s a tribute to where they got engaged.
