BLUE ISLAND, IL (WGN/CNN) - Police are looking for answers in the case of a cab driver found dead in his car in a Chicago suburb on Christmas Eve.
According to authorities, the man had earlier been the victim in a robbery.
He has been identified 54-year-old Ismail Abdulle of Chicago, WGN reports, adding that his death has been ruled a homicide. He had multiple injuries.
His body was found after police investigating the robbery asked officials in the suburb of Blue Island to check on the man. He was found near a lumber yard in his car dead.
Police are reportedly looking for two suspects in the case.
The death marks at least 663 homicides in Chicago so far in 2017, the Chicago Tribune reports, down from 792 in all of 2016.
