SPRINGFIELD, MO (KYTV/CNN) - A Springfield, MO, resident came home Friday to quite a surprise.
The roof of a car wash was sitting on her house.
Strong storms in the area brought winds of up to 60 miles per hour. The high winds also tore down a utility pole.
Tambra Bates said her home had water damage.
"I'm really astonished about how we kind of take Mother Nature for granted and we don't sometimes realize how deadly it could possibly or potentially be," she said.
No one was in the home when the storm hit.
