ORANGE COUNTY, FL (WKMG/CNN) - Police said a woman who was driving too fast crashed her car into an home.
"I hear something like boom. And when I come in, I saw a car inside my house." said Laila Basquez, who lives in the home.
It was around 7 p.m. Saturday when she was in her bedroom, heard a crash and saw a woman in the driver's seat of a SUV in shock.
"I saw the lady inside the car screaming, and then I started crying, screaming. I'm so nervous," Basquez said.
"It sounded like an explosion but it was a car going into the house. It went straight inside the house," Christian Portes said.
The driver slammed through the house with so much force, the SUV went all the way through the living room before coming to a stop in the kitchen.
The hole in the house is so large, it almost looks like a garage door, and next-door neighbors even felt their own houses shake.
"I was cleaning my bathroom and everything with my wife, and boom, everything was moving in the house," a neighbor said.
Police are looking into what lead up the crash, but neighbors said they often see vehicles traveling way too fast here.
"It's quite dangerous here because we have a lot of kids here and a lot of cars go too fast," Gregory Sabsook said.
Many in the neighborhood want to get results on a recently started petition and have speed bumps installed.
Authorities say the driver will be cited. The woman is from the neighborhood.
