JACKSONVILLE, FL (RNN) - A motorcycle dealership has been cleared to fly its military flags above the store, following a backlash against the city government on social media.
Jaguar Power Sports employees said they got a written warning from a city worker Monday. Finance manager Shaun, no last name given, posted a video message to the store's Facebook page, saying the city worker also insulted a wounded veteran on her way out of the business.
"(She) says to him that, 'You've done nothing for our country,'" Shaun said.
Other store employees corroborated the account to WJXT, and surveillance footage from inside showed the city worker confronting a man in the store.
The initial Facebook post has nearly 5 million views. Shaun posted a follow-up video Monday night, saying the mayor had reached out and a city representative had apologized.
"The flags are going to stay up, and we're not going to be cited in the future for this issue," he said.
