PROSPER, TX (KTVT/CNN) – A 9-year-old Texas boy, who has Down syndrome, is going viral with his passionate rendition of a Whitney Houston classic.
Dane Miller, 9, belted Houston’s “I Have Nothing” Monday while in the car with his dad. A family member shared the cover on Facebook, and it took off, reaching millions.
"He did just watch a documentary on her about a month ago, so he started downloading some of her songs and that was the one he just got stuck on,” said Dane's mother, Danna Miller.
Dane’s mother says she loves the response the video has gotten.
“Just reading the comments, they're so sweet. I get emotional. Even some other families that have Down syndrome children have posted pictures of their kids,” she said.
Dane says he feels happy knowing so many people watched him sing, and he intends to post more videos.
The family has started a YouTube channel called Amazing Dane.
