TAMPA (WFTS/CNN) - Police are investigating what they are calling a suspicious death.
Authorities said they were called to the Seminole Heights neighborhood Tuesday morning for reports of shots fired.
When they got there, they found the body of a man who appeared to have been shot to death.
The body was found blocks away from the scenes of three recent unsolved murders in the neighborhood.
The killings began on Oct. 9, when 22-year-old Benjamin Mitchell was shot and killed in front of his home, CNN reported.
Monica Hoffa, 32, was killed Oct. 11. She was found two days after her death by a city employee in a parking lot half a mile from where Mitchell died.
Anthony Naiboa, 20, was shot to death Oct. 19 after he accidentally got on the wrong bus after leaving work and ended up in the neighborhood by mistake, police said.
