(CNN) - The former boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown is in trouble with the law again.
Nick Gordon was arrested and booked in a Florida jail on Saturday.
He admitted to authorities that both he and his girlfriend had been drinking when they got into an argument.
The woman said Gordon struck her a couple of times in the face while they were driving in a car earlier in the night.
Her lip was swollen but she didn't seek medical treatment.
Gordon said he just wanted his girlfriend to leave.
Last June, Gordon faced battery charges, and the following month he was charged with false imprisonment of an adult and kidnapping.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston, died in July 2015 after six months in a coma. Gordon found her unresponsive in a bathtub in her home.
