SAN DIEGO (KFMB/CNN) - It was a news segment for the birds.
KFMB anchors Nichelle Medina and Eric Kahnert were teasing the upcoming Zoo Day portion on their show Friday, when a scarlet ibis made an early entrance. The bird, named Sophie, landed on Medina's head, much to the delight of her coworker.
"How's that for an introduction?" Kahnert said.
Medina handled the interruption well, but she had a lesson in on-air etiquette for Sophie.
"You don't mess up another girl's hair, sister," Medina joked in the segment.
