CINCINNATI (AP) — The Bengals have hired Zac Taylor as their coach, heading in different direction after failing to get a playoff win during Marvin Lewis' 16 seasons. They targeted the Rams quarterbacks coach as Lewis' replacement, but weren't able to close a deal until LA's season ended with a 13-3 loss to the Patriots in the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
UNDATED (AP) — Tennessee remains at No. 1 for the third straight week and the top four are unchanged in The Associated Press men's basketball poll. The Volunteers are followed by Duke, Virginia, Gonzaga and Kentucky. Losses by Michigan and Michigan State led to a shake-up in the rest of the top 10. Michigan dropped two spots to No. 7 after losing to Iowa. Michigan State fell three spots to No. 9 following a loss to Indiana, which had lost its previous seven games.

DETROIT (AP) — The Milwaukee Bucks -- winners of nine of their last 10 -- take the NBA's best record to Brooklyn tonight to play the Nets. The Denver Nuggets, tied with Golden State for the league's second-best mark after six wins in a row, visit the Pistons tonight in Detroit. Another hot team, San Antonio, takes its five-game winning streak to Sacramento, where the Spurs take on the Kings.
DALLAS (AP) — The Dallas Stars are looking for their fifth win in a row as they host Arizona tonight, one of four games on the NHL schedule. In other action, Los Angeles skates against the Rangers in New York, Vancouver is at Philadelphia, and Anaheim visits Toronto.
