LOS ANGELES, CA (KTLA/CNN) - The bat-signal could be seen in the Los Angeles sky Thursday night.
The bright signal went up in honor of Adam West.
The 88-year-old actor died last Friday after a battle with leukemia.
West was best known for his role as superhero Batman in the 1960s television series.
Los Angeles' mayor and police chief joined others at city hall for the ceremonial lighting.
