FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (WSVN/CNN) – Police arrested a man accused of robbing a Florida bank, who allegedly took off all his clothes and ran down the street naked after being sprayed with a dye pack.
As an alleged bank robber was making his getaway, a red dye pack in the money exploded and sprayed the man’s clothing with dye, police say. The man then shed his clothes and began throwing the money everywhere.
The man ran naked down the road, crossing the street and dodging traffic along the way.
People on the streets were perplexed at the strange sight.
“It kind of took me a second – I was on the phone, and I had to put it down. Then this lady passed me, and I asked her, ‘Was he naked?’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, he was naked.’ It’s like wow, I’m surprised no one tackled him or anything,” a witness said.
Police arrested the man, who was given a yellow tarp to cover himself. He will be handed over to the FBI, who will be investigating the robbery.
