(RNN) – Nathan Briscoe loves his daddy.
But at just 6-months-old, he hasn’t seen him for half his life.
Nathan was just 3-months-old when Army Sgt. Chase Briscoe left on a 9-month deployment to Poland.
"Before my husband got deployed, he would put my son to sleep every single night," Nathan's mom, Deanna Briscoe, told CBS News. "[Nathan] had a hard time falling asleep after he left, so I thought about getting a 'Daddy Doll.'"
"Daddy Dolls" are plush toy replicas of military dads, kind of like stuffed animals that look like their fathers in uniforms.
Mom thought a "Daddy Doll" might help Nathan and she was right.
Last month, she shot a video of the unveiling and Nathan’s reaction is priceless.
“Nathan got his Daddy Doll today. He loves it!” Briscoe posted on Facebook. “Chase’s voice is inside and it stops him crying when he hears it. He’s such a Daddy’s boy!”
The video’s an internet sensation, racking up thousands of views.
Hold on, Nathan. The real thing will be back soon enough.
