LAS VEGAS (KSNV/CNN) – A woman who told police her husband forced her into prostitution and killed their child is now in jail.
34-year old Jason Quate stressed that he was the victim, and not his wife.
Metro police detectives said they arrested the woman who alerted them about her daughter's dead body that was placed inside a container in a southern Illinois garage.
Officers said they arrested the woman on a warrant out of Illinois.
She was wanted for forgery.
Since the woman is an alleged sex trafficking victim we decided not to share her name.
Quate said that his wife framed him.
"This is all her idea. She wanted to come out here and be a prostitute. She wanted to do all this. I never forced her to do this. I begged her to get a regular job," Quate said.
Law enforcement in Las Vegas and Illinois are still looking into this case of murder, sex trafficking and child abuse.
Officials in both areas said there was a chance that both parents could face more charges.
Quate will be in court Friday.
