ATLANTA (WSB/CNN) - After six weeks of heavier than normal traffic, I-85 in Atlanta is back open.
A portion of I-85 north of downtown Atlanta collapsed following a fire in March.
Southbound lanes were re-opened Saturday about 6 p.m. Northbound lanes were opened Friday night.
The quick pace has some residents worried about the safety of that stretch of highway, but Georgia Department of Transportation said the bridge was quality tested and is safe.
