(CNN) - Pop star Ariana Grande has been honored by the city of Manchester, England, for her response to a terror attack in May.
On Wednesday, Manchester's city council voted to make Grande its first "honorary citizen." The council's leader said the singer brought comfort to many by returning to Manchester after a suicide bomber attacked one of her concerts.
Twenty-two people were killed, including children.
Grande performed at an all-star benefit concert and visited with those injured in the attack.
