(CNN) - Legendary singer Aretha Franklin has canceled a couple of her upcoming performances upon doctor’s order.
According to Rolling Stone Magazine, her management team announced in a statement that Franklin's doctor ordered her to rest for at least two months.
This means she will not appear at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest on April 28.
A planned concert in New Jersey on March 25, which is her 76th birthday, has also been canceled.
Franklin said last year that she would retire from touring in 2018.
