GREEN BAY, WI (WBAY/CNN) - Attorney Gen. Jeff Sessions was in Wisconsin on Tuesday highlighting the nation's opioid epidemic.
More than than 90 Americans die daily from overdosing on opioids, the National Institute on Drug Abuse says.
Before a meeting of the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children, Sessions said treatment is important, but local communities should also focus on prevention.
He said street prices for drugs are at an all-time low, and children are endangered by living in homes with addicts.
Sessions says it's time for the nation to wake up to the dangers, calling the addiction crisis “a nightmare.”
