(CNN) - Actor Chris Pratt has filed for divorce from his wife, Anna Faris, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple had been married for eight years.
Pratt, best known for his "Guardians of the Galaxy" role, filed divorce documents on Friday.
He's seeking joint custody of their 5-year-old son Jack.
