JANESVILLE, IA (KCRG/CNN) - A high school class is thanking Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for getting them out of their final exam.

Their teacher was a die-hard Rodgers fan and agreed to cancel the class's sports literature final if he retweeted a student's request.

About 20 minutes later, Rodgers’ reply came back, "I'm sure a sports lit final is very important, but here you go."

It caught the student a little by surprise.

"It kind of took me a minute, I was looking at it and I was like, wait a minute, this is, that's the actual thing," student Peyton Meyer said.

The teacher kept her word to the students and the exam was canceled.

The student tweeted back to Rodgers, "Thank You!"
