LIVE OAK, Fl. (WTXL) - In Suwannee County, the Bulldog football team is coming off a 5-7 season, a season where they just missed out on making the postseason.
Head Coach Kyler Hall said this off season is the best since he's been back at his Alma Mater., and he's hoping that mentality carries into the fall. This group boats some good experience as two quarterbacks are back for the Bulldogs, in fact, all the skill positions boast some veteran guys.
Hall says their one group with a question marks comes on the offensive line. Suwannee has just two guys coming back, but he likes this team's work ethic and this group has that intangible.
"I think in the past we've kind of guys with the mindset, oh I'm here, I'm showing up, that's good enough," he said. "You can't just show up on Friday and think that's good enough. At the start of summer or spring or at the beginning of the season, everybody feels good, body feels good, it's exciting. When you hit that point where you're fatigued and you're tired how do you respond? On the days they don't necessarily feel like doing it, they're still showing up to work."
Suwannee kicks off the regular season at home against Fort White on August 24th.
