Live Oak, Fla (WTXL) -- New Suwannee Head Coach Kyler Hall is back home. After coaching at Maclay he is taking over at his former high school as the head football coach in 2016. Hall says walking Suwanee hallways at first had a nostalgic feeling, but eventually he just wanted to get to work on football.
"It has been extremely exciting to watch these guys develop this offseason and we are looking forward to getting started," Hall said.
Suwannee returns nine starters from last year's team that went to the third round of the playoffs. Hall believes his team is young, but it has plenty of potential--just unproven.
"I think a plus of me being here I knew alot of these kids that are here," Hall said. "I would go back every chance I got to watch these guys in the playoffs. So I am very familiar with these guys and from day one they welcomed me in and it was a close bond right off the bat."
Hall is the youngest coach on his own coaching staff and two of his assistant coaches he played for in high school. The Bulldogs coaching staff hopes it can collectively find the winning formula in 2016. Hall and the Bulldogs begin the season August 26 against Leon.
"The town of Live Oak they love their football so they are going to support and you want high expectations." Hall said.
