A new regime will begin at Leon this year, Tim Cokely is out and former Lions quarterback Garrett Jahn is in.
The Lions finished 2016 at 6-3, but fell in the first round of the playoffs by way of Lee High out of Jacksonville. John Carey will step in at Q-B, and Queze Brutton returns following a junior campaign that saw him rush for just under 600 yards.
One issue, experience. The Lions will only return three starters, but Coach Jahn believes he has enough playmakers to get the job done.
The Leon Lions will open the season on August 24th against Gadsden County.
