MONTICELLO, Fla. (WTXL) - The Jefferson County football program is under a new, but familiar, face this fall, as Blair Armstrong is back for his second stint as head coach of his alma mater.
Armstrong is the Tigers eighth coach in the last 13 years, but said he plans on getting Jefferson County back on the right track. As far as the offense goes? You can expect to see Jefferson run and throw the football this season.
Seven starters return on both sides of the ball for Jefferson County, and Armstrong said as far as personnel goes, they will be just fine.
"We evaluate all our guys watching film and try to put them in positions that help them the best," he said. "Most of them are pretty much in the right spots. We'll make a few adjustments. I'm the big optimist. I always shoot for the top and aim for the top, so we're going to work as hard as we can one game at a time to get where we gotta get. We'll see how far we can go!"
Jefferson County opens up the regular season on August 26th at West Gadsden.
