EASTPOINT, Fla. (WTXL) - The Franklin County Seahawks have a new head coach in Randy Brock, and Brock is looking to establish some type of consistency with the program as he's their third head coach in as many seasons.
Franklin County was 3-7 last year, and while they are young, boasting just three seniors, Brock says he feels like they can pull out some big wins. The Seahawks have a strong core coming back, and while Brock took over the reigns just two weeks before the spring game, he hopes his military background has benefited the program.
"I'm not going to be one to sit back and let you do what you want to do," he laughed. "I'm going to come in and say this is the way we're going to do it and if you don't like it, there's the door. I'm sorry, but that's how it's going to be sometimes."
He said so far,the transition has been smooth and he's hoping for some positive results this fall.
"For us to accomplish our goals and to get where we want to, we have to play together," he said. "I think in year's past, they haven't played together. That's my main focus right there, is the team."
Franklin County takes on Wewahitchka for their preseason match-up on August 19th.
