#WTXLFNF Camp Chat: Florida High Seminoles

Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Florida High Seminoles enter 2017 fresh off a Regional Final appearance in Class 3A. The Noles have a talented senior class they'll have to replace, but they have a lot of returners coming back, and it's a group head coach Jarrod Hickman is excited about.

Bryson Hill, a freshman quarterback last season, is now a year older. Kevin Sawyer and Will Haigler, also two returners and two big pieces to the puzzle.

The Seminoles had a good spring, a good summer, and after falling last year to the eventual State Champion, they are hungry to finish the job.

"These guys got a taste of it a year ago. They understand the level they have to compete at everyday, and they've done a really good job of that," said Hickman. "We just feel like we have some key spots, last year, we didn't know what our quarterback situation was going to be. We were still trying to fill a few holes, and this year, we're bringing back a veteran quarterback, we're bringing back a bunch of skill guys. We're excited. I think this is a great group, now we have to put in on display and go compete."

Florida High kicks off the regular season at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Disney, when they play Pennsylvania's Marple Newman on August the 25th.
