HAVANA, Fla. (WTXL) - The East Gadsden football team didn't have the season head coach Corey Fuller would have liked in his first year back as head coach, as they went 1-8.
After a summer of hard work, he admits things are looking up though. The biggest thing that he's stressed to his guys is their need to finish. He noted they did improve as the season went on last year, now it's just about finishing what they start.
"With these new coaches coming in here late, we just have to get on the same page," he said. "All the talent is there. Arguably to be honest, player for player, the best team that I had here the first time, this team is better, player for player."
Even with holes to fill, Fuller has built his coaching staff up, and with the work they put in, he said you may see some big things from the Jags this season.
"Just keep working, and keep believing, and keep buying in," he said of things the Jaguars need to work on before their season opener. "We just need to keep doing the little things. It's not the big things, it's the little things that win. If you let the little things get away, now you have a big problem."
