TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The ACC Kickoff began Sunday with two players from each of the league's 15 football-playing schools speaking with the media.

Jameis Winston and P.J. Williams represented Florida State at the event, which the conference is hosting in Greensboro, N.C. The duo faced questions from print and electronic media reporters, and Winston's session with the print media lasted nearly an hour.

Guess that's to be expected with the reigning Heisman Trophy and BCS National Championship winner. So with those accomplishments already secured, one question proposed to Winston dealt with the Noles' motivation entering 2014.

"We're always playing with a chip on our shoulder," said Winston. "We have high expectations and we know that if we become complacent or if we become "off" in any way, we will lose."

"Every year, we look to get better," added Williams. "Also myself, looking to get better every day out there on the field. Working hard, trying to be a leader for my team as well as everybody else."

Florida State will open 2014 in Arlington, Texas at Cowboys Stadium against Oklahoma State Saturday, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WTXL ABC 27.

Asked if he's ready for the season to get underway, Winston responded, "Of course I'm ready for football. What kind of question is that? I'm always ready."

So is the rest of the south.
