TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A sign taped to a door reading, "Today's Press Conference Is Cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience" is all that greeted media at Florida A&M's Al Lawson Center today. The Rattlers typically hold a weekly news conference every Tuesday at noon with head football coach Earl Holmes and several players.

Even the players themselves were not notified of the cancellation beforehand, as several of them were sitting in the arena in the Lawson Center around 11:30 a.m., waiting for the news conference to begin.

FAMU sports information tells us Director of Athletics Kellen Winslow asked them to cancel the news conference.

The Rattlers (2-6, 2-2 MEAC) are coming off a 41-20 loss at North Carolina A&T and will host Norfolk State for homecoming this Saturday at Bragg Memorial Stadium in a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
