SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WTXL) - A 24-point first half powered No. 1 Florida State to a 38-20 win over Syracuse, Saturday afternoon at the Carrier Dome.
Jameis Winston completed 30 of his 36 pass attempts for 317 yards and three touchdowns, while freshman Dalvin Cook led the rushing attack with 122 yards and a score on 23 carries.
"As the season goes on, we're gonna get better and better," said Winston after the game. "Everything's starting to come together. Defense is playing good, offense is playing good, and guys, when Florida State plays Florida State football, we're hard to stop."
Wide receiver Rashad Greene passed Ron Sellers as the all-time receptions leader in Florida State history. Greene came into the game three catches shy of Sellers' mark of 212 receptions, and the senior caught six balls for 107 yards.
Also setting a school record in this game was Nick O'Leary, catching his 13th career touchdown, the most by a tight end ever at Florida State.
The Noles (6-0, 4-0 ACC) are on a school-record 22-game win streak, the longest active win streak in the country.
