Warner Soccer Ready To Represent At Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Last summer, Warner Soccer in Tallahassee sent two teams to the Region Championships after winning the President's Cup, the State Championship. Consistently, Warner dominates, and this summer is no different.

For the sixth time since 2012, the Warner Soccer program will send a team to Regionals. The ASG U14 girls squad is the only Florida team left in Region III, and the goal remains - win Regionals and keep fighting for a National title.

"We have had some ups and downs with this season," said Alexis Agramonte, the team's goalkeeper. "We've had a lot of people turn out to extra sessions and we've just been working at it, and we just progressed as a team and learned to actually blend together."

"The chemistry is great," agreed head coach Matt McCloghry, who took over the team six weeks ago when Hillary Despotovski, who built the team and led them to the state title moved to Massachusetts with her husband. "The girls enjoy being with one another, they work really hard, and they are really good friends. Their work ethic is exceptional, and they are athletically really talented, so it's a great, great group of girls."

The ladies begin pool play on Wednesday in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the Semifinals starting on Saturday.
