TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - District Championships were on the line across the state of Florida for boys soccer teams, and with a win, comes home field advantage in at least the first round of the playoffs.
At Maclay, the Marauders hosted West Gadsden for the Class 1A District 2 title. Maclay scored early and often in this one, tacking on two goals in the first ten minutes en route to a 7-0 win.
Wakulla and Florida High faced off for the Class 2A District 2 title. Florida High had a 2-1 lead in stoppage time in the second half, but the War Eagles answered with a last second goal to tie it and send it to overtime, where they won 1-0.
In Class 4A, Lincoln fell to Gainesville 1-0 in overtime. The Lincoln girls also lost, and saw their season end in the 4A Regional Quarterfinals to Niceville.
