TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - For high school football teams, this is the week where everything starts to change. District and Region games are in full swing, and while your record may be impressive, it's winning these games that have direct implications on postseason dreams.
The 2-2 Godby Cougars kicked off Class 5A District 2 play Thursday night against Wakulla. The War Eagles entered the match-up with Godby on a four game win streak, and in their first District match-up, got an early start on their fifth.
Monterious Loggins scored the first, and only touchdown of the first half to put Wakulla up 6-0 early. Wakulla added nine more points in the second half to come out with 15-6 win.
