VSU Defense Shines in Win over WSSU, 31-3

Powder Springs, GA (WTXL)-- The Valdosta State defense shined for the second straight week limiting Winston Salem State to just 3 points in a 31-3 win at Cobb County Clash on Saturday night in Powder Springs, Ga.

In his second game of his VSU career, EJ Hillard threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns. His 3rd quarter 47 yard touchdown Chis Anderson put the game away. The Defense limited Winston Salem State to just 47 yards passing.

The Blazers have a bye week next week, before hitting the field on September 26, for the 2015 home opener against Cumberland. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
